(Note: This page was a suggestion from Myles Horton Sr. - Thanks for your ideas)

I need your assistance at making this page beneficial. I have not heard any feed back until recently, so I didn't know if anyone was even looking here. I now know that it is being used. Therefore, please assist me by sending as much information as possible for those in need of our thoughts & prayers. Name(s), address, email, phone & Club(s) they belong to. One concern I have had is how much detail should be included regarding sensitive details. I appreciate receiving the detail for our personal information. However, please let me know what you would like to have posted here.

Thanks for your assistance,

Dick (Fran) Dawson tyoga5@npacc.net (570) 537-6011 (Champagne Whirlaways)

11/30/08 Friday the doctor told us Dick is 70%  better which is good for him...he was really sick....he is still on predesone and an antibiotic and  will  be until this coming Friday when he has to go to the doctor again...one day at a time he is improving. Thanks for all the cards we have received from square dancers...they help brighten the day.  Fran

11/22/08 After the hospital, we "thought"  Dick was better. WRONG
Monday I had to take him to the pulmonary doctor at Corning (Thanks goodness  I had time to get him to a doc without an ambulance...).  He was in bad shape, worse than when I took him in the ambulance...We have been going into the Guthrie Bldg. every day this week and he is being given predesone and  a antibiotic  by IV for 5 days...tomorrow he is going to take the same thing by pills.. then he goes back to the doctor to see if the pills are working.....His lungs are in bad shape...when he starts coughing or walking (very slow) his oxygen drops into the danger zone.

This has not been a fun month for us...but good news...we are going to have a new great granddaughter any minute.. Emma Louise... then we will have two great grandsons and a great granddaughter.

Tell everyone we said hello and WE WILL Be BACK DANCING.  Fran

11/21/08 Dan, Dick isn't doing too good. Will miss your cueing at Bath tomorrow night, but we will be coming back. This has not been a very good month. Tell everyone we said hello and are thinking about them. More information to follow...

11/14/08 When I got home Tues. night from working at the polls at 8:20 I found a very dark house , when I went inside I found Dick laying in his chair, When I ask him what was wrong....he didn't answer... I realized he was very sick, called the ambulance and took him to Corning Hospital...his oxygen was very low and he was barely breathing...so in the ambulance he was put on oxygen etc....He was admitted...He  had not been sick, at 4 he stopped at the polls and brought us a pizza, he seemed o.k....they found that he had a sinus problem (which he had been treating) but unknown to him the sinus had become infected and blood from his sinus was dripping down his throat into his lungs, which are already in bad shape....His lungs were very clogged...They had to break it up by giving him his nebulizer every 15 minutes or about two hours before  they could admit him to the hospital, he was very sick...He is home now, but is very weak'.  They said he would be like that for at least a month... Needless to say, the doctor cancelled his catarach operation, he is having hid eye done Dec.2 (if something else does not happen ).
